Details
L-Buthionine sulfoximine is an irreversible glutathione-synthesis inhibitor developed as a chemotherapeutic agent. It inhibits glutathione biosynthesis and causes depletion of cellular glutathione levels. Study showed that L-Buthionine sulfoximine synergistically enhanced melphalan activity (inducing 2-4 logs of cell kill) against multiple myeloma cell lines.
