It is produced by the strain of Streptomyces rishiriensis MJ 773-88K4. It had strong activity against gram-positive bacteria including staphylococcus, streptococcus, enterococcus, MRSA (MIC is 0.39-0.78 μg/mL) and VRE (MIC is 0.39-0.78 μg/mL).
