Rp-8-Br-PET-cGMPS is a selective inhibitor of cGMP-dependent protein kinase I a and I β and of retinal cGMP-gated ion channels. It effects against mammalian cyclic nucleotide-dependent phosphodiesterases. Compared to Rp-8-pCPT-cGMPS, it is much more lipophilic and membrane-permeant.
