It inhibits inositol phosphate accumulation induced by the non-selective acetylcholine agonist carbamoylcholine (carbacho) in guinea pig cortex. Dicyclomine inhibits potassium-induced contraction of ileum, colon, and duodenum in anesthetized rats.
