Details
Cafedrine is a medication that acts as a vasopressor and cardiac stimulant. It is used primarily to treat hypotension (low blood pressure) and shock. Cafedrine acts by stimulating the release of norepinephrine (noradrenaline) from nerve endings and also by directly stimulating alpha-adrenergic receptors in blood vessels. This results in vasoconstriction (narrowing of blood vessels), which increases blood pressure.
